Turnover Of Life

In 1961, Tan Sri Dato Lee Shin Cheng had his turning point of his life when he applied for a job as a supervisor with DUNLOP ESTATES. However, he did not manage to get the job in that company because could not speak English fluently. This is because European companies own most of the palm oil plantations in Malaysia at for the past decades, which communicating in English language is compulsory. Nevertheless, he did not give up; he went to another palm oil plantation company as a Supervisor. As he recalled his working life, he learned a lot valuable lessons and techniques to understand the whole process of working in the palm oil industry. He has gained a lot of experience through out his working life and as he said “ I start everything from the scratch”.
