Tan Sri Dato Lee Shin Cheng established Yayasan TSLSC in 1994. The main objective of the foundation is to provide education to the less fortunate. He understands that education is vital in everybody’s life. Under this foundation, he has provided several scholarships, awards, to students and schools, adoption programme and young achiever awards. Besides scholarships, he has partnered with HUMANA and also World Vision Malaysia in providing education to everybody. It also supports community welfare, which is to help the poor and the unfortunate by donating donations to various homes. He has also donated cars to Persatuan Shuang Fu to provide the less fortunate. Every year, there is a charity event at GSC, IOI Mall located in Puchong to provide free movie screening to children with a meals and some games. Medical assistance is also included a purpose of the foundation which offers medical or finance assistance to those who are disabled and also the sick.
